Cakes and a cuppa for Biggest Morning Tea
The community and council members gathered together at the Nyngan Library to share a cup of tea and some delicious treats to mark the official day of Australias Biggest Morning Tea and help raise vital funds for Cancer Council NSW.
Now in its 25th year, Australias Biggest Morning Tea is one of Cancer Councils leading fundraising events and the largest, most successful event of its kind in Australia.
This year the morning tea was marked with a special celebration with Nyngans Bay Lovett being presented with her award as joint Senior Citizen of the Year.
The award was presented at the Biggest Morning Tea by Bogan Shire Mayor Ray Donald. Ms Lovett was unable to attend the presentation during Seniors Week when she and Annie Quarmby were both recognised with the special award for their contribution to the community.
