Happy pair: Former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Aston Merrygold and girlfriend Sarah Lou Richards revealed that Craig Revel Horwood deserved the backlash after his elimination
Sarah said: 'Sorry, Craig – you kind of deserve it. I think this time you got it wrong!'
Aston also revealed that after he found he had been eliminated he was unsure what to think, but is not moving on to focus on his new arrival.
He said: 'On the evening I was proper gutted. I was trying to work out what I had done wrong. But in this industry you have to have the mentality that when one door closes, you look to see what you can do next.’
'Sarah and the baby are my priority now.'

Expecting: In an interview with OK! magazine, the couple also discussed their impending arrival, with Sarah due to give birth to the couples first child in January

Shock: Aston was dubbed one of the favourites to win the show, but was eliminated in Week Seven to the shock of fans
Ahead of the couples impending arrival, Aston also revealed that it was becoming a Dad that spurred him on to do Strictly, even if it did leave the chance that he might be away from his beau in the later stages of her pregnancy.
Sarah also revealed that neither of them have found out the sex of their little one, saying: 'We just want it to be a surprise.’
‘I want to be one of those dads who sends out the text with the baby’s name, whether it’s a boy or girl, and the time of birth. That is the first official thing – I’m very excited.’

Favourite: Aston was one of the top contenders in the BBC series, and his elimination sparked fan outrage
Aston revealing that he was moving forward from the elimination came after he appeared on This Morning with dance partner Janette Manrara, who said she was furious with Craig's low score.
She said: 'I wish we had the chance to see more of Aston. But it was really harsh, it didn't deserve a four. I do respect his opinion, he is a judge – I just really disagree with it.
'It was a proper Viennese Waltz, I didn't add anything. The look wasn't classic, which was intentional, but the actual footwork was.
'We sat down as a team and thought it would be fun. Technically the steps were all traditional.'
Aston and Sarah's interview is in the latest issue of OK! Magazine, out now.
