Holly Willoughby gave fans a glimpse of her latest screen outfit on Tuesday morning, shortly after paying a poignant tribute to one of her closest friends after she cut her hair short to raise much needed funds for a children’s charity.
Taking to social media platform Instagram, This Morning presenter Holly, 36, looked typically stylish in a monochrome shirt by German designer Markus Lupfer as she posed for her latest 'outfit of the day.'
Distinctive wide-legged dress trousers from Marks & Spencer added to the sophisticated look, while strappy Karen Millen shoes rounded things off.

Somewhat inevitably the look generated plenty of attention from members of her three million strong following, but the post was overshadowed by a comparatively moving image, shared the previous evening.
Updating her account on Monday night, Holly revealed her best friend Emma took the decision to drastically shorten her hair after her one-year old daughter Alice was diagnosed with Bilateral Retinoblastoma, a rare strain of eye cancer.
Sharing an eight-year old photo of the TV presenter carefully styling Emma’s locks in front of a bedroom mirror, she wrote: 'In 2010 I did my best friend Emma’s hair for her wedding day…today she has decided to cut off 12 inches of that beautiful hair to help her sisters baby girl Alice…

All proceeds will be raised on behalf of Rainbow Trust Children's Charity, with the shorn hair donated to Little Princess Trust, a charity dedicated to providing real hair wigs to children who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment and other illnesses.
She added: 'The knotting process at the top of the wig alone takes 4 inches in length, so we are aiming to donate at least 12 inches each, to provide a very brave little person somewhere with some hair and hopefully make their day a little brighter.

'Rainbow Trust provide bespoke support for families who have a child with a serious illness, by offering an invaluable range of services.
'Simple things like taking a train to the hospital and exposing the child to all the germs which comes with this, could potentially be life threatening for children with suppressed immunity.'
She added: 'Rainbow Trust can drive the family to the hospital and offer practical & emotional support during their time there (as well as at home), helping families through a stressful time and allowing parents to take a much appreciated short break every now and again.'

For a good cause: Other stars to donate their hair to the Little Princess Trust include One Direction singer Harry Styles, who made the gesture after cutting his locks for a role in World War II film Dunkirk

The pop star confirmed his donation in an Instagram post shared with followers in May 2016, with the update receiving more than a million likes within five hours of going viral.
Model Amber Le Bon also participated on behalf of the Little Princess Trust's campaign, Chop To Your Chin Day.
Talking shortly after getting her hair cut and restyled in September 2017, she said: 'My hair will grow back and it is going to kids whose hair isn’t growing right now.
'If I make one kid smile by adding to a wig that they are wearing that makes me so happy.'
