But now, professional football Frank has revealed just how much meeting Christine changed his life, during an interview with Radio 5 Live’s The Emma Barnett Show.

The sporting star confessed that when he met Christine, he was going through the devastating loss of his beloved mother.

Frank shared “I had been on my own for a year, single for a year, and I’d had a very hard time with my mum, and I was in a difficult place.

The sporting star confessed that when he met Christine, he was going through the devastating loss of his beloved mother.

Frank shared “I had been on my own for a year, single for a year, and I’d had a very hard time with my mum, and I was in a difficult place.

“And I don’t need to go into that, but it was tough, and I was working and that was my get-out from a very hard year for myself.”

But he went on to gush that meeting beau Christine was the thing that ended up saving him from a very dark place, confessing that she provided the “perfect balance” for him.

“But meeting Christine was completely uplifting for me because, we say love at first sight, but we met, and very quickly we kind of moved in together and were inseparable.

“And I fell in love, she brought the perfect balance to my life. And the world that she’s in makes it, say, easier.” No, YOU’RE crying! So sweet…

However, it hasn’t all been smooth sailing for the lovebirds, with Frank confessing that the press scrutiny on their relationship in the beginning was hard to deal with.

He admitted, “We had a very tough first few months, because all eyes were on. We had paparazzi sitting in cars outside our house, we couldn’t walk down the road, and that’s the opposite of what we are.

“We’re very private and like to keep ourselves to ourselves. But that did die down so we’re very aware of media world for Christine, my football world – they’re different worlds but they’re very similar in terms of what they bring around themselves.

“So we’re very aware of the worlds we’re in and we’re very happy. Simple as that.”

So adorable! We couldn’t be happier for this lovely pair.
