It was announced that Phillip Gibson was awarded a special achievement award from the Royal Agricultural Society for his commitment to the Show community.
“The Royal Agricultural Society is the governing body of our show, the Nyngan Show is a life on its own, but we are run under the auspices of the Royal Agricultural Society,” President of the Show Society Will Marr said.
The award was started back in 1838, and while it disappeared for a number of years, the achievement has been reinstated.
“The Royal Agricultural Society has reinstated an award for a person who has dedicated themselves to the Show movement.”
The vision of the Royal Agricultural Society is to educate the community the value of sustainable agriculture and to improve the animal breeds at competitions.
