Firies open its doors to public

Last Saturday Nyngan Fire and Rescue opened its doors and were on hand offering advice on installing or replacing smoke alarms, and how to best prepare a home fire escape plan in the lead-up to winter.
FRNSW Commissioner, Paul Baxter, who will mark one year in the top job this month, said it gives the community the opportunity to learn more about the vital work carried out by local firefighters.
“Our firefighters are among the most highly trained in the world and have a very wide range of capabilities,” he said.
