Long serving Warren District volunteers honoured
NSW Rural Fire Service (NSW RFS) volunteers from across the Warren District have been honoured for their longstanding commitment to the local community.
NSW RFS Regional Operations Manager Superintendent Paul Whiteley presented eight Long Service Medals to volunteers at a ceremony today in recognition of their service and dedication.
“In total, this represents 305 years of combined service across the Warren District,” Superintendent Whiteley said.
“The dedication of all the volunteers being recognised today is truly inspiring.
“I would like to make particular mention of John Wild, who has received the Long Service Medal 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Clasps in recognition of his 53 years of service with the Noonbah Brigade.,”
“John joined the Noonbah Brigade in 1965 and was the Brigade Captain from that year to 2003, then Deputy Captain following up until 2016.”
Superintendent Whiteley also acknowledged Stephen Perry for his 39 years with the Noonbah Brigade, along with Michael OBrien and..
