Paul Pogba claims France wont repeat the key mistake England made against Croatia
Paul Pogba has admitted France switched off in the Euro 2016 final against Portugal, but insists they will not be making the same mistake when they play Croatia in the World Cup final on Sunday.
Les Bleus have advanced to the final of the tournament in Russia with victories over Australia, Peru, Argentina, Belgium, Uruguay as well as a draw with Denmark.
Now, they find themselves one win away from World Cup glory as they take on underdogs and FIFA ranked No. 20 side Croatia.
But despite the fixture against Zlatko Dalićs side yet to win a knockout match in 90 minutes, the Manchester United midfielder is adamant they will not be taking anything for granted.
I am not going to lie. At the Euros, we thought that it was already done, Pogba said. We told ourselves that we had won already after beating Germany that was the real final for us.
We respected Portugal, but with their routes… We dont want to make this mistake again, we will approach this match differently.
The final takes place in Moscow at 4pm BST, with it being Frances first World Cup final since their penalty loss to Italy in 2006.
