Manchester United have sold Daley Blind back to Ajax in an £18.1 million deal.
The midfielder struggled to secure a regular role under Jose Mourinho last season and made just 17 appearances in all competitions.
And now United have reached an agreement with Ajax for Blind to return to the Eredivisie.
Blind was signed by Louis van Gaal from Ajax for £13.8 million in the summer of 2014.
But United have sold the Netherlands international back to Ajax for an initial €16 million (£14.1m), which will rise to €20.5m (£18.1m) after bonuses.
Uniteds squad travelled to the United States on Sunday evening to begin their pre-season tour, but Blind remained behind in England to complete his move to Ajax.
Ajax are currently in pre-season training at St Georges Park and are due to play Wolves in a friendly on Thursday.
Blind, who won the FA Cup, the Europa League and the EFL Cup during his time at Old Trafford, is due to sign a four-year contract with Ajax.
