Arsenal striker Stephy Mavididi in shock talks with Juventus over Serie A transfer
Arsenal striker Stephy Mavididi is in talks with Juventus over a shock permanent transfer to the Serie A giants.
The 20-year-old spent last season on loan at Preston and Charlton, scoring twice in 15 appearances for the Addicks during his spell in League One.
The youngster is best known to supporters for his dazzling run during his first loan spell at Charlton where he breezed past five Rochdale players after running from the edge of his own box – only to be denied by the goalkeeper.
Mavididi was not involved in Arsenals pre-season tour and the Sun claim Juventus are in talks with the youngster over a permanent move to Italy.
The Old Lady would use the 20-year-old in their own academy with a view to promoting him in the future.?
Juventus were recently granted permission to play an under-23s side in Serie C in a landmark decision in Italian football.
This would afford Mavididi regular football in the equivalent of League One in Italy.
