Manchester United legend Paul Scholes hits out at Victor Lindelof for crazy error against Brighton
Paul Scholes admitted he struggled to comprehend Victor Lindelofs defending during Manchester Uniteds disastrous first half against Brighton.
The Sweden international was badly at fault for Glenn Murrays opening goal and was nowhere to be seen when Shane Duffy slammed home a second moments later.
Although David De Gea, Fred and Eric Bailly were all culpable for the concession of the penalty which was converted by Pascal Gross just before the break, it was Lindelofs contribution to the mess which really caught Scholes eye.
I think the bad reaction there is from Lindelof, said Scholes.
Once that ball goes into the middle he has to come across and close that space.
Hes gone [wide] to receive the ball, look how slow he is getting back. Hes even thinking of playing offside there, which is crazy.
