Aaron Ramsey wants answers from Arsenal after contract offer revoked
Aaron Ramsey admitted he has not idea why Arsenal withdrew their contract offer.
The Arsenal star was on track to sign a new long-term deal, before Unai Emery instructed the club to halt negotiations with Ramsey.
Emery reportedly wants to use the transfer funds that could be spent on Ramsey on new signings in January and next summer.
Ramseys contract expires in the summer and the midfielder is attracting the attentions of Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United.
He said: We all know the contract has been taken off the table and I still dont know why because a few weeks before wed sort of agreed a deal and I was ready to sign.
But something happened within the club and Im not exactly sure what it was.
Hopefully one day somebody will come up and tell me why they changed their minds.
Maybe Ill get some clarity when the time is right. If I get some reasons, maybe I can accept them, but that hasnt happened yet.
So all I can do at the moment is get my head down and work as hard as I can to help this team for the rest of the season.
Ramsey captained Arsenal on Thursday night in their 1-0 win over Sporting Lisbon in the Europa League.
Emery has refused to rule out Arsenal selling Ramsey in January, and the club may be tempted to cash in on the 27-year-old before he can leave on a free transfer next summer.
Ramsey was asked if he would consider joining Tottenham, but responded No.
