Mason Mount missed Chelseas training session on Thursday but Frank Lampard could be boosted by the return of Emerson ahead of his sides clash with Liverpool on Sunday.

Mount was forced off after just 16 minutes with an ankle injury during Chelseas 1-0 defeat to Valencia in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.

Scans have subsequently shown that Mount has not suffered ligament damage but the midfielder is expected to miss Chelseas match against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge this weekend.

Antonio Rudiger was absent for Chelseas clash with Valencia and also missed Thursdays training session due to a groin problem.
