Callum Hudson-Odoi continued his road to recovery today with a fine goal for Chelseas U23s.

The midfielder signed a new five-year deal at Stamford Bridge earlier this week to end the speculation over his future at the club.

Hudson-Odoi was desperate to leave during Maurizio Sarris tenure but Frank Lampards appointment has convinced him to stay in west London.

The 18-year-olds been sidelined with an Achilles injury since the end of last season but hes stepped up his rehabillitation in the last fortnight and has now featured twice for the U23s.

And he scored today against Southampton as the Blues ran out 2-0 winners.

The winger raced on to a fine through ball from former Rangers midfielder Billy Gilmour and calmly dispatched.
