Discover Puerto Rico has appointed United Kingdom-based travel representation and PR consultancy Hills Balfour, an MMGY Global company, as its international agency.

Hills Balfour will oversee Discover Puerto Ricos marketing, trade and PR interests in Canada, Colombia, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom, working together to grow international arrivals.

Discover Puerto Rico is a private, not for-profit enterprise whose mission is to make Puerto Rico visible to the world.

Hills Balfour will work in partnership with the organisation to position the Island as a premier travel destination to an international audience in order to increase visitation, dispersal and spend.

As part of this effort, Hills Balfour will work collaboratively with its international network, Travel Consul, to develop and implement a strategic plan that will help Discover Puerto Rico achieve its goals to raise global awareness of the destination and grow international arrivals.

As we move into the second half of 2019, property prices in Dubai continue to be attractive for both tenants and investors.

According to the latest market report from Bayut, there is a perceivable shift in interest towards competitively priced areas when it comes to renting, while historically more expensive areas for investments have become more affordable.

Being a consumer driven market has created an environment that is conducive for lucrative property deals, which end users appear to be capitalising on as per Bayuts report.

This is in line with a recent report revealing that real estate transactions in Dubai have gone up by 33 per cent compared to what was seen in the same period last year.

Communities such as Al Nahda, Mirdif, Bur Dubai and International City dominate the rental market, while Palm Jumeirah, Arabian Ranches, Dubai Marina and Downtown take the lead for sales.

In terms of ROI, the suburban community of International City is the most attractive as per Bayut, with impressive rental yields of up to 9.7 per cent/

Price trends for the first half of 2019 reveal that apartments in Dubai have largely witnessed minimal decreases of between four and eight per cent for both sales and rentals.

According to the data released by Bayut, Dubai Marina is the most popular area for buying apartments in Dubai.

Vietnam Airlines has hosted an event to welcome its first flights to and from Sheremetyevo International Airport.

It comes as the carrier moves its operation from Domodedovo airport, further enhancing connectivity between Vietnam and Russia.

Upon arrival, flight VN63 from Hanoi to Moscow was welcomed by a water cannon salute and passengers were greeted with bread and salt as a Russian tradition by hosts in national costume.

On the same day, Vietnam Airlines also celebrated the first flight VN62 departing from Sheremetyevo.

The ambassador of Vietnam to Russia, Ngo Duc Manh, representatives of Vietnam Airlines and Sheremetyevo Airport attended the cutting ribbon ceremony.

The airport move has provided passengers greater choice and flexibility when travelling to domestic destinations in Russia as well as Europe when combining with Vietnam Airlines and Aeroflots vast networks as well as other airlines operating at Sheremetyevo Airport.

Master developer Nakheel is adding another stunning, landmark attraction to Dubais recreation and leisure scene with the View at the Palm, a public observation deck towering 240 metres above the world-famous Palm Jumeirah.
